Anton Koolman excels in bloodstock inspection, sales, evaluation and assistance, and operates in a very professional, personal and helpful manner. AKB offer the full range of selection and management of thoroughbred Bloodstock from Australia and New Zealand.

Anton has spent his life in the industry and together with wife Margaret, began his association with thoroughbreds in the Equestrian World of Eventing and Show jumping. He twice won the NZ One Day Event before taking out first prize in the coveted Three Day Event Championship.

Anton progressed into training thoroughbreds and for 25 years he prepared gallopers and jumpers in New Zealand. He combined this with purchasing of racehorses for export to Asia and Australia with great success.

Through the 1980s he owned Gressier Stud and spent five years as a highly respected Councilor on the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Association as well as several other important positions within the industry.

In 1991, Anton moved to Sydney with his wife and three sons, and started Anton Koolman Bloodstock - it proved to be a highly successful move.

Anton Koolman has had the pleasure of being associated with many top horses. He has been instrumental in organising the purchase of horses that have won a staggering 12 Group One races. Horses Anton has selected/purchased include Let's Elope, Stony Bay, Richfield Lady, Look's Who's Talking, Hula Flight, In Joyment and Dr. More (HK).
