"New Height" (Fuji Kiseki x Newtown Pike) broke through maiden grade on Saturday at Kembla after consistently running placing's in previous weeks. Thanks to Jockey Terry Jones suggestion after two seconds at Goulburn "I think she will run a better race in stronger company" we went from country to provincial grade to score her maiden win. I look forward to meeting Terry out on the track tomorrow morning when I will ask him if we need to step her up to city grade in order to win again. "New Height" has not been an easy member of the string at times, she has a good few tricks, like holding her boof-head about 7-ft in the air when we go to put her bridle on EVERY morning. I know that doesn't sound a lot to have to put up with but most of us around here are a wee bit short of the 7-ft mark. I was not at Kembla for the win myself, the stable had runners at Rosehill where "Our Jetsetter" resumed with a very close 2nd. It was a busy weekend for a 10 horse stable, with 5 runners on Saturday (a win and two seconds) and a trip to Scone on Sunday for the yearling sale where Karen and I picked up a couple of nice fillies who we will race with anyone interested in a piece of the action.
