The first crop of foals by former brilliant Hong Kong galloper Hidden Dragon have caught the eye of bloodstock agent Anton Koolman, who has just returned from Warwick where he visited Lyndhurst Stud Farm where Hidden Dragon stands at a fee of $8,800.
“He has some outstanding foals up here and will cover around 120 mares again this season and already has 60 tested in foal,” said Koolman.

“They got EI quite early up here so the foals are all over it and the mares have been cycling and breeding well, although with travel restrictions the number of outside mares coming on to the farm has been reduced.”
Strongly built foals, predominantly bay in colour and with good bone have been the order of the day for Hidden Dragon with this filly

Hidden Dragon raced exclusively in Hong Kong winning six of his 22 starts from age two to five, his best win coming in

the Group Three Chinese Club Challenge Cup.
He was an effective competitor at stakes level and boasts the distinction of having run the legendary Silent Witness to less than a length during his phenomenal 17 run winning streak.
Hidden Dragon met and defeated the likes of Cape of Good Hope, Great Delight, River Dancer, Elegant Fashion, Super Kid, The Duke, Bowman's Crossing and Planet Ruler – all big race winners whose form has stood up around the world.
A $700,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Anton Koolman Bloodstock from the draft of Tyreel Stud, Hidden Dragon was trained throughout his career by leading conditioner Tony Cruz and after returning to Australia has since been managed in part by Koolman on behalf of his Hong Kong based owners who retained shares in the horse.
