 Danehill Dancer Colt HK Bound |
A Coolmore Stud bred Danehill Dancer colt is bound for Hong Kong after being purchased by top agent Anton Koolman for $85,000 this afternoon on the Gold Coast.
The Sydney based Koolman is one of the most successful agents operating in the highly competitive Hong Kong market, with some of his more recent successes including the Danehill duo of Hidden Dragon and Bearcat.
Koolman selected the Danehill Dancer colt for a Hong Kong based syndicate, with the colt set to be broken in and pre-trained in Australia before being exported early next year.
Whilst Koolman has supplied horses to several leading Hong Kong trainers including Tony Cruz, the Syndicate has yet to select a trainer for the colt.
“His x-rays were 100% perfect which is vital for the Hong Kong market,” said Koolman.
“He is absolutely correct and athletic.”
Koolman fended off leading local trainer Bryan Guy to secure the colt. Guy put the polish on one of Danehill Dancers best colts in Australia in Jar Jar Binks, who won eight races including the Group 3 Mercedes Benz Stakes (1200m).
Others in the hunt for the attractive bay colt include the connections of top Hong Kong Danehill colt Luck Owner's.
