Olly Koolman has saddled up Peniki Park to win yet another race, with success this afternoon in the $22,000 Gilt Pattern Handicap Class 3 (1600m) at Warwick Farm.
The four-year-old mare has now won three of her last four starts stepping up from Provincial to mid-week city company with ease.
"She's in good form and if there's one thing about mares is that once they get into form they can hold it," said Koolman.
"All credit to Larry Cassidy though it was a determined ride and really the ride won the race.
"We don't have any big plans for her, just to find races she can win."
Peniki Park was settled just behind the speed and showed real fight to bullock her way out and sprint home.
"She doesn't lay down, that fight would have just made her even more determined!" said her owner, breeder and strapper Harry Fowles.
Peniki Park (Sky Chase from Off The Perch) won by a neck to Warm Ride with Mirimba Bay a length away third.
They ran 1.38.36, the final 600m in 35.04.
