Former Hong Kong star Hidden Dragon, will back-up on Saturday at Eagle Farm after a sound track gallop this morning at the Gold Coast.
"He worked over 1000m on the sand and Karen (Koolman) reported that he was under a hold when he ran home in 36.90 and pulled up really well," said Koolman.
"The track is currently good for Saturday which suits him but I haven't checked the forecast and I won't, as I don't have a lot of faith in weather forecasters!"
Hidden Dragon got into all sorts of bother last Saturday when he was caught in the wash-up of interference in the straight in the BTC Cup, with Koolman believing he would have run a place if that had not have happened.
This is the first time that the horse will have a seven-day back up and if all goes to plan Koolman will follow a similar patter in the lead up to the Group I Stradbroke Handicap.
On Saturday, the son of Danehill, will run in the QRSE City North News Sir Byrne Hart Stakes (WFA) (1400m) and the in-form Larry Cassidy will take the mount.
