As Seymours Honour did at the last Gosford meeting, Tolo rewarded connections for the patience often required to allow a young horse to develop into a mature racehorse.
Tolo by Snippets, saluted for the first time in his short 7 start career as a rising 4yo. "He was just too immature as a young horse to even have in training as a 2yo, after being broken in and having two brief preparations in training, he spent 10 consecutive months in the paddock growing into the bigger, stronger and better horse he is today".
Aided by a 10/10 ride by Hugh Bowman, Tolo justified his $1.90 start quote to land a comfortable 1.5 length win. He will spend the next 3 weeks in the paddock for a short and well deserved break and be back for the early Spring with the view of having him compete at Flemington this November. |
