Just to prove it was no fluke the first time, Our Jetsetter went back to Kembla Grange today and did it all over again. It was due to the lack of metropolitan options that she was again at the provincials and not that we needed convincing she was good enough for the city. Our Jetsetter showed when winning her maiden that city racing was her future by threatening the 1000m class record at Kembla at her previous start. The way she galloped here at Warwick Farm on Tuesday morning, I was a little disappointed that we couldn't find the right race in town. Due to the suspension of Allan Robinson, Andrew Gibbons settled Our Jetsetter just in behind a near record pace in the class 1 event over 1000m. "Not at any stage did she feel like getting beaten" was the jockey report on dismounting after convincingly winning by 2 1/2 lengths in a blistering 57.28 and closing off with a final 600 in just 32.87.
I will now look for a city race in the next couple of weeks.
