  When a trainer’s in-form you should stick

By: Clinton Payne - Wednesday, August 16, 2006

Today at Warwick Farm there was more evidence that as a punter you should follow in-form trainer Oliver Koolman carrying on his winning ways.
Koolman made it four city winners this season when his six-year-old gelding Double Dip thrashed his rivals in the AJC Young Members Handicap over 1200m.
Double Dip began fast and dictated the terms of the race before booting away in the straight winning with consummate ease.
”He really deserved to win like that,” Koolman said.
Double Dip 54.5kg ($4.40) (T.Clark a2) defeated French Tycoon 54kg ($2.40) (D.Beadman) by seven lengths with Derby Parade 54.5kg ($7.50) (G.Buckley) another length away in third.
The time for the race was 1.10.55 and the last 600m was run in 35.08.
”He’s raced very consistently this preparation and I thought he’d be hard to beat today.
“It was also great to train a winner today as its mum and dad’s 35th wedding anniversary.”
