Bearcat, the full brother to the Golden Slipper winner and successful sire Catbird, has covered 83 mares at Taunton Vale Stud near Bunberry in Western Australia.
Bearcat who was originally purchased to race in Hong Kong by Anton Koolman Bloodstock for AUD 700,000 at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sales. In Hong Kong he earned the reputation of being a good sprinter with explosive speed holding a 1400m track record at Happy Valley.
Kent Johnston of Taunton Vale Stud reports that the interest in the son of Danehill has been solid. The 90% plus positive pregnancy tests that have been achieved this season will give him a very respectable number of 2 year olds to represent him on the track in the 2009/2010 racing season. |
