Tyreel Just Dancing Their Way to Easter Breednet - Media Release - Wednesday, March 28, 2007
Heading into this Saturday’s Golden Slipper meeting at Rosehill, Tyreel Stud are extremely excited about the prospects of their Fusaichi Pegasus (USA) bred 3YO filly Just Dancing. Taking on the big guns in Miss Finland and Tuesday Joy in the Group One STC Arrowfield Stud Stakes (2000m), the Paul Fleming owned galloper is definitely not out of her depth.
Trained at Royal Randwick by Grahame Begg, the filly dead-heated for fourth in the Group One AJC Guineas behind Mentality at her last start. To be ridden by big race ridder Glen Boss on Saturday, the filly will be given every chance for Group One glory at her first attempt beyond the mile.
"She's run the mile twice and both times she's hit the line well, she ran fourth in the Flight and fourth in the Randwick Guineas and is giving every indication she'll be up to this, “ stated Begg.
Any further black-type for this filly on the eve of the 2007 William Inglis & Son Australian Easter Yearling Sale would significantly boost the prospects of Lot 61, one of two Redoute’s Choice colts from a stellar line up of 12 impeccably bred youngsters in the Tyreel Draft.
Out of the dual Group One winning Champion 2YO filly Ballroom Babe (NZ), the Redoute’s Choice colt is not only a half-brother to the Group Two winner Just Dancing, but a full-brother to the Group Three MRC H.D.F. McNeil Stakes winner Tahni Girl and a three-quarter-brother to the Hong Kong Group Three winning and Group One placed Hidden Dragon.
Having had five foals to the races, for five winners, including the above mentioned three stakes winners, Ballroom Babe (NZ) is a mare of the highest quality and the envy of any broodmare owner.
